SGG Blu De

Saint-Gobain's Blu De was created after months of research to bring alive an architect's vision of a building to be clothed in the most unique shade of blue ever seen. The result is now flaunted proudly on the facade of the Indiabulls Blu building, in Mumbai, a high-rise with the most unique shade of Blue that was designed exclusively for it.

SGG Blu De imparts an exquisite Blue appearance to the building, complementing the dynamic design intent. The high external reflection that adorns the facade, transforms it into a landmark edifice. The glass lets in natural light into the interiors, ensuring that the dependency on artificial lighting is reduced, thereby resulting in lower electrical costs. The Blue appearance of the glass throughout the facade not only enhances aesthetics, but also ensures privacy for the occupants while lending a seamless appearance to the building.

SGG Blu De is part of the SGG Nano series from the Infinity range of Facade solutions from Saint-Gobain; SGG Nano is an advanced solar control and thermal insulation product allowing solar and thermal benefits at one go, providing occupants with all-year comfort. With internal & external reflection, it ensures clear vision throughout the day. SGG Nano also affirms true colour rendering for near and natural vision of external views. Belonging to this range of glass, SGG Blu De takes luxury quotient a leap ahead with its features and advantages.


SGG Blu De is manufactured by the Magnetron Sputtering technology in plasma conditions. Its functional layer of silver imparts the property of low emissivity, a basic need for excellent thermal insulation.


SGG Blu De is manufactured in jumbo sizes, enabling facades with large panes so as to ensure that one does not miss out on the view.


SGG Blu De has to be tempered or heat strengthened before assembling into an IGU. For tropical climatic conditions, it is recommended to position the coated side as Face 2 in the IGU.
